The industry recommendation is to have your rigging system inspected annually by a qualified inspector: someone who is familiar with the full gamut of rigging systems and can evaluate whether or not a particular system or component is safe.

We have been working with, designing, and inspecting rigging systems for over 15 years and are familiar with the most recent developments in the industry.  Pittsburgh Hoist offers annual rigging inspections at competitive rates, and since we do not offer repair services, you can be assured that our reports are unbiased:  we offer inspections for the sake of making your systems safer, not to find more work for ourselves.  If your system is in need of repair, we can recommend several rigging contractors throughout the region who can offer competitive bids based on our inspection report, allowing you to get the best price available for the necessary repairs.

Our inspection reports are unique in that they provide clear and useful information for everyone who needs it, from theatre administrators to rigging contractors.  While our reports are detailed enough for most contractors to provide an estimate based on nothing more than the report, we also explain any issues we find in layman’s terms and include a glossary of terms at the end.  This makes the report clear and understandable to theatre administrators, who may have no knowledge of theatre operations and systems.
